Promotes art interests through trips to exhibits, after-school studio time, and special related activities.

Educates people about the need for saving the environment and provides ideas on how to accomplish this goal.

Open to all Agricultural Science students. Supports Ag-Science education with regular meetings, competitions, and other activities. AW's chapter is part of a national organization.

 

Open to all home economics students in junior and senior high school. Emphasizes activities to support improvements in personal, family, and community living. Includes field trips, service projects, and personal growth activities. AW's chapter is part of a national organization.

 

Open to all French students. Promotes awareness of French culture through parties, field trips, and other activities.

Open to all German students. Promotes awareness of German culture through parties, field trips, and other activities.

 

The Anthony Wayne High School Chapter of the National Honor Society is a service organization comprised of students who strongly demonstrate all four qualities promoted by NHS: Service, Leadership, Scholarship and Character. Members are selected for induction by the faculty of the high school based on various criteria. All Juniors and Seniors who have a 3.800 cumulative GPA will receive an invitation in the Fall inviting them to submit documentation to be considered for acceptance. If accepted, students will be required to complete 25 hours of service projects either in conjunction with NHS or on their own. NHS does various projects throughout the year such as tutoring at all of the AW buildings, trick-or-treating for canned goods, sponsoring local Christmas families, and collecting children's books for inner-city elementary schools. Advances and promotes dramatic arts programs. Membership is based on participation in dramatic arts activities and sponsor approval.

 

Takes 2 - 4 trips during January and February to ski.

 

Open to all Spanish students. Promotes awareness of Spanish culture through parties, field trips, and other activities.
